Time-based & service menus

Real menus run on the clock: breakfast ends at 11, happy-hour beer is cheaper from 5 to 7. Serving times let you say when each dish is served and at what price, and your opening hours stop orders arriving at a shuttered kitchen.

How it works

The Menu page is a grid: each dish is a row, and each serving time is a column showing that dish's price during that window.

1. The Default column is your base price — what a dish costs whenever you're open and no special window applies. Tap a Default cell to edit it.
2. Add a serving time (say, "Breakfast" or "Happy Hour") with the + Add chip above the grid. Give it a name and its weekly hours.
3. Tap a cell under a serving time to set that dish's price in that window — or mark it "not served here". Enter 0 to clear a cell.
4. During a serving time, diners see only the dishes on it, at its prices. Outside any named window, they see your regular menu at base prices.

Setting your opening hours

Tap the Default chip above the grid to set your timezone and weekly open/close times (overnight hours like 11 PM–2 AM are fine — enter them as one interval). When you're closed, diners can't chat, order, or send service requests — they see a friendly "we reopen at…" note instead. New restaurants start open 24/7 until you set hours.

Good to know

• Serving times must fit inside your opening hours — you can't serve breakfast at a time you're closed. The editor flags this before saving.
• Serving times can't overlap each other, so at any moment there's exactly one answer to "what's on and at what price". The timeline view under the chips shows your whole week at a glance.
• Prices are enforced at order time. The kitchen-side price is always re-checked on the server, so a diner can't order a happy-hour beer at happy-hour price after 7 PM.
• The AI stays honest. It knows your full menu and can talk about an off-hours dish ("breakfast is served till 11"), but it will never sell one.
• Menu names are internal. Diners never see "Happy Hour" as a label — they just see what's available now.
• A diner mid-feedback can finish even if you close while they're typing.
• Up to 10 serving times — plenty for breakfast/lunch/dinner plus a couple of happy hours.
