Login & one-time codes

Signing in to AskFoodie is built around your email: enter it, get a 6-digit code, type it in, you're in. The same door works for new and returning users — if the email is new, an account is created for you.

How it works

1. Go to the login page and enter your email.
2. Check your inbox for a 6-digit code (give it a minute, and check spam the first time).
3. Enter the code. Done — no password needed.

One account, many hats

Your email is one account everywhere. You can be an owner at your own restaurant, staff at a friend's, and a diner anywhere else — signing in lands you in the right place, and if you're on several restaurants you'll get a picker (star one as your default to skip it).

Good to know

• Codes expire quickly and can be re-sent — if one doesn't arrive or lapses, request another after the short cooldown.
• Set up from a printed QR sheet? Until you claim ownership with an email, your login is the printed setup code — see Claim your QR.
• Have a password from before? Password sign-in still works; the email code is just the simpler path.
• Team members sign in the same way — they use the email their invitation was sent to.
